Well, thank you linesmen, thank you ball boys (did we have any of them this year??), referees and scorers, the season for Ocean Grove Snooker has come to an end.

And the Winner is ………………… (no it isn’t Sydney), it is The Falcons.

Congratulations to The Falcons – Mark, Russ, Mick and Bruce (with Bernie and Andy cheering on from the sidelines).

The Grand Final was an epic contest going right down to the line. It was anyone’s game, with The Falcons pulling off the win in the final frame on the black ball. The score was 5 frames to 3. Last night’s match couldn’t have been any more of a cliffhanger, (maybe a bit more of a cliffhanger if Sylvester Stallone was there, for those too young to understand check out the 1993 film).

Commiserations to The Lodge – Rob, Rick, Grant and Duck (with Nick sending his support from afar), better luck next year.

A massive thank you to Lisa and Dean for opening their home and allowing us to play the final in their home. Also a thank you to those who assisted during the final series with refereeing and scoring, keeping everyone on the straight and level.
