Rick our fabulous Treasurer noted
What a cracker of a day Sunday was for the intertown. The sun was shining, the beer was flowing, the food was cooking and of course the most important thing of all, Snooker was played.
First thing first, as usual Lisa and Dean (mainly Lisa) once again provided us with a fantastic venue and a big thanks goes out to them from both OGSC and DCSSA (Drysdale Snooker). Another thank you must go out to Raco who arrived early to prep the table before the matches got underway and finally to Gerry and Raco for cooking up the hamburger feast during the first couple of frames.
Brownie (the President of DCSSA) sent a thank you message to us letting us know that the venue, table, food and most of all the company was fantastic. They are looking forward to the rematch next year.
A great day was had by all participants and it was great to see a number of others turn up to support the club in its endeavours to defeat Drysdale.
I can hear you all now, stop waffling on Rick and get to the score. This year OGSC took on the challenge with 11 players and came through triumphant 9 frames to 2. There were a couple of late withdraws, Fluffy and Gerry stepped up to fill the vacancy.
I hope everyone had a good day, I know I did (I was a little bit second hand on Monday), hence the email coming out today.
